仮撚の一種、SZタイプのPIN仮撚加工のポリエステルを使用。
PIN仮撚は軽く上がる仮然りの一種で、PINに物理的に巻きつけて燃りを掛けることで、糸のスピード、送り、引張り、撚り回数を自由に調整し、豊かな物性（風合い）を作る事が可能になる。
PENTAは通常のPIN仮撚りに比べてバルキー性が高く、さらにSZ撚りを施すことで斜行が抑えられています。
また、一般的なフィラメントよりもピリング耐性に優れている点も特徴です。
構造は五角形の中空糸で、従来糸と比較して約35％軽量となり、試験は未取得ではあるものの、保温性の向上が期待されます。
Uses polyester processed with PIN KARI twisting of the SZ type, a type of false twisting.
PIN KARI is a lightweight false-twisting method in which the yarn is physically wrapped around a PIN to apply twist, allowing free adjustment of yarn speed, feed, tension, and number of twists.
This enables the creation of rich physical properties and hand feel.
Compared to standard PIN false twisting, PENTA offers higher bulkiness, and by applying SZ twisting, yarn skewing is suppressed. It also shows superior pilling resistance compared to general filament yarns.
The structure is a pentagonal hollow filament, approximately 35% lighter than conventional yarns, and although testing has not yet been conducted, improved heat retention is expected.
